Arvin Expands Metal’Cat Range

MetalCatSince publishing its Metal’Cat Application Guide in July, Arvin Replacement Products has expanded its replacement catalytic converter range with the addition of thirty-six new part references.

Replacement Metal’Cats for the following models are now available: Alfa Romeo 33, 145, 146 and 155; Audi 80, 100 and A6; Chrysler Jeep Cherokee 4.10i; Citroen Xsara 1.4, 1.6, 1.8, 1.9TD and 2.0; Ford Maverick 2.4 Galaxy 2.0 and 2.3; Hyundai Lantra 1.5 and 1.6; Kia Pride 1.1 and 1.3; Mazda MX5 1.6, and 1.8; Nissan Terrano 1.4, Micra 1.2 K10; Peugeot 406 2.0; Renault Laguna 3.0 V6, 2.2D and 1.9 Dti; Rover 220 and 420 from ’95 on, 214, 216, 414 and 416 ’95 on and lastly the Toyota RAV4.

According to Arvin, Metal’Cat metallic monolith replacement CATs are more robust and durable than standard replacement CATs because of their all metal construction. To reflect this the company has now extended the Metal’Cat warranty from 2 years to 3 years or 50,000 miles. One of these CATs is pictured showing a section of the metallic monolith. (1/00)


Autoleads Launches CD Adaptor Lead

AutoleadsAutoleads, the producer of a range of Cellular Smart Leads for hands-free mobile phone kits, has developed a new CD adaptor lead - the PC9-306.

The PC9-306 lead (pictured) enables the use of a Panasonic CD changer (Panasonic CX-DP-9060 or CX-DP-803) with an original Volkswagen Gamma headunit which has been installed in VW Golf MkIVs (5/98>) and VW Passats (4/97>).(1/00)

 


Stylish New Ice Scrapers From Polco

New Additions to First Line Product Portfolio

First LineFirst Line have expanded their product portfolio with the launch of its Mountings, Bushes and Stabiliser Links Programme. This product range complements the existing First Line Steering & Suspension portfolio and encompasses products such as stabiliser links, strut mountings, thrust rod bushes and steering column bushes.

The new range is covered in a new catalogue which has been produced for ease of use and product identification. All 245 applications are listed on the left-hand page, with their respective photographs on the right-hand page, allowing for easy reference of every part number. The catalogue also contains a full numeric Buyers Guide and a complete cross-reference listing, both to OE and all major competition. (1/00)


Auto-Delta Extends its Range of Brake Hoses and Transmission Parts

Auto-DeltaOver 1,000 part numbers have been added to Auto-Delta’s collection of CV joints and driveshafts, which covers more than 95% of the UK car parc. The new CV joint references, made to OE specifications and supplied without surcharge on a non-exchange basis, are now sold with boots and relevant fittings and can be seen in Auto-Delta’s new transmission catalogue. There is also now a new brochure for the extended range of OE specification brake hoses, containing illustrations and product specification details. (1/00)


First Line Releases Ford Timing Belt Replacement Guide

According to First Line, a number of Ford Timing Belts for the Ford 1.8 litre diesel and Turbo diesel models have been snapping, causing considerable damage to the engine.

In response, First Line have published a replacement guide, highlighting concerns and problems experienced with these Ford application belts. It also outlines developments, which are being made to overcome the problem. The guide also offers step by step illustrated instructions to ensure the correct installation of the belts. (1/00)
