ROMWIRE report that the new site will provide it with a global production base enabling it to substantially widen its future markets. Exide Announces New Customer Service Initiative Exide Technologies has completed a programme of investment at its UK Customer Service Centre. The company has expanded its facilities at the Manchester-based centre as part of the latest phase of Recharging Exide, a global initiative aimed at improving customer care, product quality and performance. The expansion means a customer's call is now automatically routed to his dedicated Exide sales representative. According to Exide, customers can now place orders, check on deliveries, get answers to technical queries and receive up-to-the-minute product information and promotions from their own appointed representative. Exide's investment in its customer service centre has coincided with a reorganisation of its national sales operation.
